BY CAR We recommend that unless you know the city well, when travelling from the north, east and south you should approach Sheffield by the M1
(and M18 if necessary). From the west, use the A57 snake pass via Glossop. The main routes to the hospital are indicated on the map below, but the hospital is situated just off Glossop Road, and is very close to the city
centre. Once you have arrived at the hospital, you may find it difficult to park your car (a common problem in Sheffield!). There is a multi-story car park, situated on A Road, but this is quite expensive and charges £5 per
day. From the multi-storey car park, you need to find the main hospital entrance on B Road. This is quite easy, as it is on the next road up from the car park, which is on A Road. Once inside the main entrance, take the lift up
to Q floor (the last floor that the lift goes to). Come out of the lift and walk up one flight of stairs to R floor. Turn left out of the stair well and walk along the corridor. Turn left again and walk through some double
doors. The MERCS office is the 3rd door on the left.
